After a six year hiatus, the iconic Australian Sand Sculpting Championships made its historic return - this time with Frankston Foreshore as its new home. The PR Pantry was engaged to help drive brand awareness of the event, using both traditional and digital media to reach both existing and new audiences.
To achieve this, The PR Pantry implemented a strategtic campaign to create hype and excitement through dedicated PR activity and media outreach - targeting 'What’s On' and event listings, feature stories, media and TV opps, behind-the-scenes content, and interviews across both traditional and digital media channels.
The campaign communicated a range of offerings available throughout the one-of-a-kind Australian event. Including the sand sculptures, food trucks, kids/family friendly activities, the sand museum and more. Sandstorm Events was top-of-mind with relevant lifestyle, food and general news media throughout the campaign and key media and influncers were invited to attend the event.
Over 2 months of active media outreach, The PR Pantry secured 518 media items and a potential audience reach of more than 11 million. Notable highlights include: Sunrise, Weekend Sunrise, The Age, News Corp Metro Mastheads (Herald Sun, The Daily Telegraph, The Advertiser and The Courier Mail, The Mercury), The Guardian, Channel 9 News, Channel 10, Channel 7, Urban List, Sitchu, ABC Radio and more.
